My gaming is all over the place. I finally started Bioshock 2. It felt like home...eh, a flooded, crazy art deco home. I was not expecting the new baddie.

I am stuck in Limbo at the moment. The solution will come to me. Just never fast enough.

I started Sine Mora. I enjoy the game style and art direction. I found the dark storyline ajar of the beautiful game especially with the rape plot point. It seemed out of place and unnecessary for the game. Is the game's story based on a book or other medium? I don't get it.

Dragon Age - Awakening. The expansion came with my copy of DA:O that I bought in 2011, but I never played it because it required me to register on two different websites in order to activate it (I mean, really, what kind of product makes you jump through so many hoops? Really shit policy, EA!). For some reason, though, that's no longer the case on my Steam copy.

Anyway, the game's interesting: it's like a microcosm of everything in Dragon Age: Origins, condensed and polished. The various different enemies return, locations are very reminiscent, but the designers made sure that these callbacks didn't outlast their welcome. Not terribly ambitious, but solid.

One thing I really appreciate are the characters - all of the Bioware charm, none of the Bioware cliche. They're not the kinds of people with a hidden past or a secret to be revealed or personal issues that only you can resolve, or that the personality they show to the world isn't who they are inside - they are, more or less, very open, sincere characters. They are what they are, and the game's comfortable with that. It's refreshing.

I've been playing lots of Neverwinter, and so far I've got my half-orc cleric up to level 50. She feels very satisfying to play, I do love that she doesn't play like a traditional MMO healer class.

Plus, I spent an hour or so grinding the pre-launch event to get my pet skeletal dog, and got the upgraded skeletal dog rare drop! I'm very happy with that.

Well, I appear to have accidentally committed Animal Crossing and I'm two days in, already fussing about money (but damn do I wish I could earn a down payment on a real-world house in an hour!)

Still working on Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Final Fantasy VI Advance, and last week I completed the endgame of Final Fantasy V on iOS. (Neo Shinryu can die in an acid shark fire.)

I've been trying Lili again, which I had picked up after someone here recommended it, but wow I am having the hardest time getting into it. I imagine if I spent a couple hours I could blow right through it, but my focus does not exist.

Why was Assassins Creed crossed out?

Also, I thought New Leaf is only $35? After tax, effectively the same, but better than starting at $40. It's a lot of fun and has a great deal of customization, but at the same time, if you're not into life sim or a fan of Nintendo, I'm not sure I'd see the point in getting it. As a long-time fan of the series, I can say that neither the DS or Wii version topped the GC one as my fav, but New Leaf is kind of climbing up there.

I've been playing Borderlands 2. I recently switched my Mechromancer to a BFF and LBT build because you can't really play Anarchy online, and it turns out I like it better.

I played Psychonauts for about an hour today, and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Secret World is on sale on Steam today. I've been curious about the game for a while now, and couldn't resist for 15 bucks. We'll see.

I'm done with Class Of Heroes 2. I missed one quest (and its boss on the monster list), but otherwise completed the game as far as humanely possible.

I've started Final Fantasy: Four Heroes Of Light, and am now in the third town. This game isn't really doing it for me. It seems to be retro for the sake of being retro, making things artificially hard. For example, the inventory is limited to 15 slots per character, with equipped gear and spells taking away 5-7 of those, and items not stacking. Actions points are limited to 5 max., and to restore 1 you need to waste a turn defending. I consider myself pretty good at Final Fantasy (I beat all of I thru IX), but I'm not enjoying this game much. The story is even flimsier than those of the first FFs.

Oh, for the feminists playing bingo at home, guess which ones of these are the women:
- starting character, youth about to come of age, tasked with rescuing someone from an evil witch, introduction: woken up by mom
- second character, on the same quest as you, intro: helps you in a battle in a cave
- 3rd char, failed to protect their companion from said witch, intro: needs the first two chars. to save them from monsters
- 4th char, captive of the evil witch, intro: quest objective
Yah, the first two are the male characters, the last two are the female characters. Not very surprising unfortunately.

All this talk of <strike>Assassins Creed</strike> Animal Crossing has me *nngh* >_< I'm soo tempted to buy the game too..
On one hand it's probably overhyped, and there's talk of it being very capitalist, and do I really want to spend $40 on a Nintendo game. On the other hand, I rarely get to play a game together with so many others, and FF:4HOL is quite meh, and it looks so cute.. What should I choose?
