What Are You Playing Thursday

LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes featuring Iron Man and the Hulk in an early stage of the game.

A migraine prevented me from posting yesterday so we have a delayed weekly question post:

  • What games are you playing this week?
  • Would you recommend those games to other Border House readers?
  • What games have you ranting?
  • Are any of those games listed ones that you want to see covered on the site?

I have been playing LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes, which is just a lot of fun! I really enjoy all of the LEGO games.

But, most of my gaming time has been spent with Dragon Age: Origins. I had some friends that started playing the series for the first time which reminded me that I had lost my Dragon Age save files when my PS3 hard drive died. So I am restarting my game and am loving it as much as I did the first time around.

So, what have you been playing?

Sorry to hear about the migraine. I hope you’re feeling well, now!

It’s been a very productive (and thus satisfying) week in gaming for me.

Skyrim (PC). I finished the main storyline! I enjoyed it a lot. I might go back to it to do more side quests, but for now I’m going to play some other PC games.

Wario Land 4 (GBA). Finished this up, and as I tend to do with platforming games, I was a completionist and gathered all of the collectibles. The level design and gameplay mechanics were solid. Definitely an underrated platformer. Taking suggestions for my next GBA game, if anyone has any :P

Borderlands 2 (PC). My brother and I are just about done with the main storyline. Next time we play, we should be able to finish!

Starbound (PC). Now that the final character wipe has been completed, I have started playing this again with family. I miss my old planets and characters T.T

The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief (PC). Just started this point-and-click adventure game. Seems cool so far, with pleasant voice acting and graphics.

Over the next week, I plan on finishing Borderlands 2, playing through Gunstar Heroes (Sega Genesis), and going back to Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (DS). And maybe starting another GBA game c:

Oh no migraine :( I hope you’re feeling better!

I finished my run of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for Moogle University and I am overrun with enthusiastic feelings about Ivalice, as usual.

I got up to the halfway mark in Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX on my 3DS VC, which I am enjoying (now that I’ve a guide to keep me from breaking the seventh dungeon again….)

I finally started Plants vs Zombies HD on my iPad (yes, the original) and while it tends to be panic-inducing for someone as nervous as I am, it’s still fun. Though I cannot get that damnable song out of my head.

Still poking gently at Blue Dragon on 360, though only in small increments.

I’m playing exactly the same things I was in the last post I made.

I am slowly chipping away at GTA V single player and online in an attempt to hit the 100%. I haven’t had much free time this week to play Heavenly Sword. I hope to correct that this weekend.

On Vita, I finished Stealth, Inc. It is a cute puzzle platformer. I think I might buy the DLC for it. I gave up on Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation. Like other Assassin’s Creed games, it sounds amazing in concept, but feels tedious when actually playing the game. I feel bad for not sticking with it.

I recently started Smart As… It is the perfect bitesize game for my subway commute home.
