IGF 2013 Finalists Announced

Each year, the Independent Games Festival takes place at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.  This year’s finalists have been announced, including an impressive list of innovative, beautiful, experimental, and fun indie games.

Particularly notable is Anna Anthropy’s game about hormone replacement therapy, Dys4ia, which is up for the Excellence in Narrative award and the Nuovo Award.

All of these games will be playable at GDC in March, but I know I’m personally going to start at the top of the list and work my way down.  I already spent quite a bit of time with Hotline Miami, Dys4ia, Super Hexagon, and Thirty Flights of Loving, but there are a lot of interesting looking games nominated this year.

    I’ve only played Super Hexagon so far, but will be checking out as many of these as I can. Just picked up Hotline Miami this past winter sale on Steam. Gonna get FTL when I can, as I keep hearing great things about it.

    Nice to see so many other awesome games to look into!
